Vector Photonics has been nominated for Technology Innovator of the Year at the Innovation Awards 2026, following the first public demonstration of its PCSEL laser technology for optical communications. The company’s PCSELs successfully transmitted data across the River Clyde in a system developed with Fraunhofer UK, highlighting their potential to enable faster, secure, cable-free connectivity between buildings, campuses and satellites. The winners will be announced on 13 November 2026.
