25 Aug Celebrating 10 years of angel investing
This August we have been marking the anniversary of Equity Gap’s formation and all that we have achieved in the last 10 years.
Our founder, Jock Millican personally thanked our membership at our recent syndicate meeting and two of the original 15 members, Richard Gibb and Collin Wood expressed their appreciation to Jock, fellow director Fraser Lusty and the Equity Gap team for their continued hard work.
We created a few headlines with a news release calling on the angel investment community to help drive forward the economic recovery which was covered by in Angel News here, Daily Business here, Business Money here and Edinburgh Evening News here.
Other media outlets reported on the news of our 2020 half year results which saw an unprecedented 22 deals, the addition of Trojan Energy to our portfolio and the £20 million investment made by our members and co-investment partners over the past 10 years. Take a look at Scottish Financial News here, The Herald here and Scottish Financial Review here.
Fraser joined UKBAA’s managing director Rod Beer on 21 August as a Friday Focus guest speaker where he shared his thoughts on Scotland’s angel investment landscape post pandemic and took questions from the audience. You can watch it back here.
We would like send our gratitude to all of our founders, members, entrepreneurs and co-investment partners over the past decade. If you haven’t already seen it, here’s a short video we created to highlight our first 10 years. Thank you for your continued support.
